L’Oreal Colour Trophy

Bad Apple Hair is proud to have reached the finals in 2008, 2009 and 2010. The 2011 entries have just been submitted and we’re awaiting results. Watch this space!

The L’Oreal Colour Trophy was first held in 1954, with just 300 spectators and 20 stylists. It quickly grew in popularity – and is now recognised and respected throughout the world. 

From one award, the competition grew to include Regional Finals, the Men’s Image Award, and the Young Colourist Award. The award tests the quality of hairdressers live – and each year the quality of entries is raised even higher.

To celebrate the talent, the award concludes each year with a glitzy gala dinner, featuring show-stopping performances. Past celebrity presenters include Davina McCall, Cat Deeley, Graham Norton and Fearne Cotton.

TIGI Inspirational Youth

Developed by the Creative genius that is "Anthony Mascolo". Anthony wanted to recognise the talent of tomorrow and 7 years ago set up this mamzing course. Now a standard diary entry for many young hopefuls around the UK & Europe. From over 500 entrants each year we have had 3 stylists get through to the final 12. These 12 are taken on a 6 month intensive journey through camera and stage work to session hair and advanced cutting skills.

Pippa and Chloe worked on breathing skills, organising a professional shoot and casting professional models from the top London agencies such as Models1 and Storm. Then on to presenting on stage to an audience of over 1000 guests and Salon Internation at Londons Excel. Both girls did us proud and executed their cuts on stage with ease. In 2011 TIGI has decided to work along side the London College of Fashion. Here Harry will learn about what works in hair and fashion. Collabarating with a graduate of the college (Leanne), Harry will put together 2 looks for his finale next May at the very exclusive Euro Release by TIGI. Check out Harry's progress in our Gallery.
